Job Description Summary
We're seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Cat Colony Care Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is essential in maintaining the health and well-being of our cat colony by ensuring a clean, safe, and enriching environment. This position is ideal for someone who loves animals, is attentive to their needs, and values creating a sanitary and organized habitat for them.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Colony Husbandry:

Sweep and mop floors in cat housing areas to maintain a clean environment.
Provide daily meals by feeding wet food and replenishing dry food.
Refresh water bowls to ensure constant access to fresh water.
Empty, wash, and refill litterboxes for optimal hygiene.
Replace any soiled bedding with fresh, clean linens to promote comfort and cleanliness.

Monitoring and Reporting:

Observe the general well-being of the cats and promptly report any health or behavior concerns to the Nursing Supervisor.

Qualifications:

Experience with animal care, particularly with cats, is preferred but not required.

Attention to Detail and commitment to maintaining a sanitary and organized environment.

Communication Skills to effectively report observations and any concerns to the Nursing Supervisor.

GED/High School diploma required

Hours: Saturdays through Tuesdays (flexible on specific days) 8am - 11am or 9am - 12pm

Additional Information:

This role requires physical activity, including lifting and cleaning tasks.

Candidates should be comfortable working independently.

Must be able to lift >25 pounds with minimal assistance.
